This is a tough one...

On the one hand I have had 'freedom' (in my case it means having no one to answer to, no responsibilities, and nothing really to lose), and its not as nice as everyone thinks.

Security and safety are important, and I spend alot of time trying to secure and maintain both if those. But if in the course of becoming safe and secure you give up essential freedoms... are you truly either?

Very complex issue, and food for thought.

I'd go for freedom, security and safety get boring quick

and since i dont have kids or a family to worry about freedom is my choice, freedom for me is alot of travel, seeing the entire world, thats why i miss the wilder world before it got so citylike and civilised

id love to see a world less polished, wilder , a little more dangerous and challenging

Freedom for me is living adventurous.

security versus freedom is the same as community versus individual, i think we want a little of both, the change for the individual to explore the horizons and a community to fall back to in case something goes horribly wrong.
